In the above section, you will find water activated tape, also known as gummed paper tape, in 48mm (2”) versions, both in reinforced versions (recommended) as well as standard versions. Gummed paper tape is by far the most environmentally friendly and secure way of sealing parcels, cartons and envelopes. The tape is recyclable and biodegradable, and effectively forms part of the box once applied. Gummed paper tape is tamper evident and suitable for use in all environments and temperatures. It is one of the strongest forms of tape on the market, and is made from natural starch and papers, with a combination of natural adhesive, allowing the box fibres to bond to the tape – creating a seal that cannot be penetrated without visibly breaking it.

Standard gummed paper tape is available in a 60gsm paper thickness, and offers a more economical solution than reinforced gummed paper tape, for those who are not too concerned about the tight security of the seal, or are packing lightweight goods. It is supplied in rolls of 200 metres.

Reinforced gummed paper tape is available in a 130gsm paper thickness, and is the most widely recommended paper tape solution. It works significantly more effectively in electronic gummed paper tape dispensers, and is made with super strength glass fibres. It remains unaffected in all temperatures, and ensures a tight and un-penetrable seal on the box. It is supplied in rolls of 100 metres.
