Black Machine Pallet Wrap - 150% Stretch
Black Machine Pallet Stetch Wrap Film – Standard 150% Stretch
Here at Globe Packaging we stock a wide selection of machine pallet stretch wrap, available in numerous specifications, duties (thicknesses) and sizes. You will find a selection of standard 150% stretch machine pallet wrap films, as well as a selection of power-pre films with a 250% stretch capacity.
In the section above, you will find black machine pallet wrap film rolls available in standard 150% stretch capacity, with a thickness of 23mu. All rolls of machine pallet stretch wrap film are 16kg in weight. The length of the film on roll of machine pallet wrap with a 23mu thickness is approximately 1400M (before it is stretched).
What Stretch Capacity Of Machine Pallet Wrap Do You Need?
One of the most common questions is the type of machine pallet wrap that is needed by a business/operation. It can be extremely confusing, especially if the ordering of the product is moved to a different person or department within an organisation, or if you are looking to change product or thickness.
The simple answer to the above question is that it depends on the type of pallet wrap machinery you are using in your business/operation. The stretch capacity of film is the maximum % capacity that the film can stretch to, during its wrapping cycle on the machine, to maximise the meterage from the roll (eg. Using the machine at a setting of 150% stretch capacity can theoretically make each metre of film stretch to 1.5 metres, assuming the film has 150% stretch capacity). Certain machinery (usually entry-level) is only designed to work with standard 150% capacity stretch film, whilst other machinery (usually higher end) is designed to work with power-pre stretch film that has a stretch capacity of 250% or more. The settings applied to your machine will then determine which stretch capacity you need.
The most common issue we see is the wrong type of machine pallet wrap being used, which can then lead to problems with your machine or wrapping. If you have a pallet wrap machine that is compatible with a 250% capacity stretch film and is set to stretch the film to this, but you use a 150% capacity stretch film with that machine, the film will naturally break and tear during its wrapping cycle. On the converse, if you use a 250% capacity stretch film on a 150% capacity machine, nothing will theoretically ‘go wrong’, but the stretch capacity is wasted (as a 250% stretch capacity film costs more than a 150% stretch capacity film).
